Of course the father is deceased so we did a home half siblingship test on the 2 of them. It came back >1%. Does that mean they are definitly NOT related? We were so disappointed as we thought we had found the wereabouts of my grandfather.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5203799819583211238.post-63532709207023266782009-11-16T00:17:31.442-05:002009-11-16T00:17:31.442-05:00See update about the combined sibship index here: ...See update about the combined sibship index here: http://cryokidconfessions.blogspot.com/2009/11/find-half-siblings-through-new-dna.html

We've discovered the math to determine relatedness.Lindsayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00120794007899168522noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5203799819583211238.post-89817500875769870322009-03-06T19:07:00.000-05:002009-03-06T19:07:00.000-05:00I wonder how a lab could go to court with this? I also tried back calculating from some sibling results people sent me and all I really learned was that I didn't understand all of the parameters. I don't think the calculations are likely to be anything that Excel can't handle; it's just that there are a lot of parameters (which ethnic tables are used and how they are Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5203799819583211238.post-68325099865168806152009-01-23T13:23:00.000-05:002009-01-23T13:23:00.000-05:00I added you to my links Lindsay. I spent some time last spring attempting to piece together the frequency points, but much of the numbers I found were ethnically specific, which wouldn't work, mainly from anthropological data.
